Restricted Tennis Club Re-Opening – COVID-19 Update

Hi Everyone,

Your Tennis Committee held a meeting last night to review what we need to do re-open the Tennis Club safely for play whilst following the guidelines provided by both the Government and the LTA.  The good news is that we are aiming to re-open the Tennis Club on Monday 18th May for singles play with another colleague and for doubles play only where all members live in the same household. Coaching will also be available on a one-to-one basis.

There are a number of things that we need to do first to make the tennis club safe for play and we are working on getting these done now. When play resumes, it shall be on a restricted basis AND subject to strict social distancing and hygiene practices being employed and at your own risk. All tennis must be booked online and no players should just turn up expecting to play. There will be no social tennis on Saturday afternoons or Tuesday or Thursday mornings for the time being.

We will send out a another note shortly to confirm all the details on the re-opening of the Tennis Club and the guidelines that must be followed.  You will also hear from both the Adult and Junior membership secretaries shortly regarding your membership for this year if you have not already joined.

In the meantime, Keep Safe and we will be in touch again shortly.

Ian Gunn (Chairman) & Jitendra Valera (Club Secretary)
