Coaching
We have two coaches at the club with Christian Allen our Head Coach and Chris Nelson our Assistant Coach and both provide a wide range of coaching for adults and for all abilities.

Christian is the club coach, LTA qualified who co-ordinates a range of coaching activities from juniors to seniors.

Group Coaching
Several coaching groups run throughout the week including ladies’ doubles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles and singles. All involve an element of technical and tactical skills with match play at the end of the lesson. Members can start up their own groups or we can find a group for you suited to your ability.
Individual Coaching
Individual lessons are arranged directly with a coach at a time that suits you. Please contact Christian Allen on 07880 728570 if you would like to find a practice partner, a social group or private lesson and he will help you.
Group coaching costs £55 for 10 weeks. Lessons take place most days of the week after school and we cater for all ages from 3 upwards and all standards from absolute beginner to advanced players. The groups mirror the Lawn Tennis Association Mini Tennis programme as follows:-
Red Beginner - 3-5 years
Red Intermediate - 5-8 years
Orange - 8-10 years
Green - 10-11 years
Green/Yellow - 11+ years
The age bands are for a guide only and the coaches will ensure that your child is placed in a group suitable for his/her ability. The groups are funand ensure that each week there are certain technical skills worked on with match play at the end of the lesson.
During school holidays we run tennis camps from 12 noon until 15.30 pm with a short break for lunch.
The camps usually take place on various days of the week and include games, Unihoc, basic technique coaching with a fun tournament at the end.
They cost £15 for members and £20 for non members and are very popular and fill up quickly!
Throughout the year there are inter-club tournaments that juniors and cadets of all ages are welcome to enter.
Posters and entry forms are sent out to all members in advance and the days themselves are fun events with barbeques and all the family invited.
We also run teams for various age groups in the Aegon league and are recognized as a mini tennis tournament organizer which supports juniors that compete in the LTA ranked events programme.
