Just been to the club. Court 3 is laid - won't be OK to play on until maybe next week. Courts 1 and 2 a little later.
Please find attached the photos from the AGM where the club tournament winners were presented with their trophies. We also formally handed over the centenary painting to the Rev Paul Ellis and presented Clive Garrod with a small gift as a show of appreciation for his efforts as membership secretary over the last 11 years.

What an amazing finals' weekend - we were spoilt for choice for amazing tennis, brilliant weather and wonderful catering.

Our Mens and Ladies teams have made two finals this weekend. Both being played on Sunday - both away from home unfortunately.
The ladies team are playing against Rayleigh at midday and the mens team are at Whitehall at 2pm. More details can be found here:
We've all heard the phrase. Does anyone know where it comes from? I have had a little look around and this page has a few ideas.
Meanwhile, we had some intruders on the court the other day. It's definitely not a dead rubber one...but I hear it is good game. No poaching though. Sigh. That's enough.
Our Head Coach, Christian has taken on a new team of junior helpers to assist him during the camps and early evening training. All the assistants have to have a basic level of training - this was their first step towards the accreditation.
Thanks to everyone who volunteered to give up their time to help in the Club working party last Saturday!
We had over 20 people, probably a record, turn up during the day to undertake a range of socially distanced jobs which included repairs, painting, gardening and cleaning. It was great to see some new faces and much was achieved to make the Club ...
