Tennis Members,

We are once again scheduling a tennis event for the morning of Bank Holiday Monday. It will be Monday, May 30th – 9:30am to 12:00 noon.

It is called ‘Bank Holiday Challenge’.

Planned arrangements:

Turn-up by 9:20am on Monday, May 30th
The ‘Bank Holiday Challenge’ event will be from 9:30am until about 12:00 noon.
You will be allocated a partner for the first set (short set – 7 games – short deuces). Partners will change.
Details of each pair’s results will be entered onto a scoring sheet.
Toss for service
Scoring
Losing pair in the first game start 15-0 up in the second game.
If they lose again they start 30-0 up in the third game
Max allowance for losing is 40 – 0 up start to a game.
Receiving serve on a short-deuce
With short deuce the receiving side can nominate whom they wish to receive serve.

Partners
After each short set the scores will be noted on the scoring sheet. The winning lady moves up the sheet, winning gent down, losing lady/gent go across on sheet but do not partner each other.
Note (your assistance please):
These are the rules we used for the May 2nd event. We may tweak them a bit for May 30th. One or two players last time had suggestions for improved rules – please advise what they were.
